Baby Blues

This lovely baby boy has the MOST amazing blue eyes I think I have ever seen. Thanks mom and dad for bringing baby H out to have some photos done in the studio -- you have an absolute cutie pie.

Another Graduate!

My Story has come to a close for another wonderful family that I have photographed 5 times since November 2007!!  Ironically, the little guy who recently turned one is missing in this sneak peek as he was feeling under the weather and wasn't all that interested in posing for me... but that didn't stop his older sister from stealing the show!!  See you next week mom - we'll give it another shot when everyone is healthy again. Enjoy.

Surprise!

Mommy and daddy were not expecting this little peanut for another few weeks - but what a lovely early Christmas gift for these proud new parents.  Sweet baby C was photographed yesterday at 2 weeks fresh, weighing in at just over 5.5 lbs. This cherub is the teeniest baby I have ever taken pictures of and oh what a delight she was during the session. There are so many beautiful shots I just had to share a few - thanks mom and dad for embracing the creative process and working with me to capture these stunning photos!! I truly enjoyed myself.

Sweet Little Cherub!

This little guy came to see me all the way from Iqaluit for his newborn session.  Mom and dad and baby were on their way home to Newfoundland for three months but first it was a quick stop in Ottawa to see family (and for baby to meet his proud older cousin) as well as to have professional photos taken.  It was a pleasure to meet you all B family and congratulations on your new healthy baby boy. He is simply beautiful.

"My Story" celebrates it's first birthday!

A year ago I introduced a photographic coverage named "My Story - Portraits of My First Year." I love this coverage as I get to photograph a family four times in 12 short months allowing me to really connect with the children (as well as mom and dad)!  This posting is from the last chapter of a My Story package; the little guy you see in the photos turned one a few weeks ago.  I am sad to say goodbye to this warm and beautiful family as our year has come to a close.  Thank you C-S family for allowing me the privilege of photographing you all. It has been my absolute pleasure ... please stay in touch!

Last but NOT least!

I know I said my last wedding of the season was back on September 6th but that was before Paula and Rob called me to see if I was available for a wedding in less that a months time.  Well I was and here are some beautiful photos to prove that you can pull a wedding off with just a few short months of planning.

I hope you are enjoying Italy you two love birds. You deserve it after all that hard work!

Taking it all in Stride!

Admittedly, not every one of my sessions goes exactly as scripted. Sometimes, the babes do not sleep well the night before or someone is feeling under the weather on session day. Occasionally parents will leave the session thinking it would be a miracle if any photographs end up being worthy of hanging on the walls of their homes!

This warm and wonderful family I had visit me on Sunday are a perfect example of taking it all in stride! Even though the boys were not that into having their portraits taken on session day, I was so delighted and impressed by mom and dad's positive attitude. 

And look... miracles DO happen! Enjoy your sneak peak.
